Fun in your own backyard
One Sunday afternoon we ended up at West Edmonton Mall and the boys noticed there was this pirate ship inside the mall?! Could they go on it? Sean and I weren’t sure, we’ve lived in Edmonton our whole life but had never gone on the boat. hummm….walking over to the ship we noticed guest services […]
Prairie Gardens
Another cool spot I discovered through my wonderful Alberta magazine was Prairie Gardens. It is this wonderful farm with u-pick gardens, a row of haunted houses, pirate’s digging for treasures, play areas and fire pits. I am not much of the camping sort, so Aunty Claudette and I thought that roasting hot dogs and marshmallows […]
Grandparents Day
There is this little known place just east of Edmonton that is all about trains. The Alberta Railroad Museum is a wonderful place tucked in amongst the trees and farmer fields. The first time I heard about it was from my Dad; he took my Grandpa one summer and they both thought it was an […]
Sesame Street Live
Sesame Street came to Edmonton again this year. Last year Sean and I debated on whether to take the boys or not, we opted for not as we didn’t know how they would fare at 3 and almost 2 yrs old. This year Sesame Street came again and we jumped at the opportunity to take […]
And everything in between
And I have a bunch of great pictures that happened in between everything else and they are so great, I can’t just keep them to myself. One evening, Owen grabbed a hold of Daddy’s keys; Owen’s comment was Now I get to sit in Daddy’s seat in the van! Oh Owen, Mommy doesn’t want to […]
Our Aunty Rocks!
The boys have these too cute t shirts and before anyone assumes anything I will admit it was me that bought them and not one of the boy’s Aunty’s. Owen and Brandon’s favorite thing about the shirts is the guitars. Now the sippy cups….well those have been sitting in the cupboard for quite some time […]
Merry Christmas…2010
Merry Christmas! We were especially lucky this year to have Uncle Derek, Aunty Colette, Zoe and Isaac here in Edmonton with us and Aunty Jodi staying at our home over the Christmas holidays. We were surrounded with family all through the holidays and while at times it was a little chaotic, a little busy, it […]
Christmas tree decorating
At about the end of November we started with the Christmas Tree decorating….there is Grandma K’s house, Aunty Claudette and Uncle Phil’s house, Grandma and Grandpa H’s house and then finally our house. All these houses need Christmas trees and decorating and who better to help out then Owen and Brandon! This was the first tree, […]
Happy Thanksgiving
Or as Owen and Brandon would put it…Happy Turkey Day! There was no gymnastics on Saturday, but we were pleasantly surprised to have Aunty Claudette come by to make us her very famous, very yummy waffles. Owen and Brandon were very helpful — adding the ingredients, mixing and then watching the waffles cook. They loved […]
