Happy Engagement Aunty Claudette and Uncle Phil!
Aunty Claudette and Uncle Phil held a big family dinner at their place one Saturday in July. It was a dinner for Uncle Phil’s family and Aunty Claudette’s family to get together and meet each other, since this time next year, we’ll be on big happy family. And as Owen put it, Why is it taking Aunty and Uncle so long to get married?! with a big sigh.
Owen and Brandon were a big help, helping Uncle Phil stock the beer cooler – by telling Uncle Phil which kind of beer everyone likes (and really we don’t drink that much!).
Owen took a much needed break and hung out on his patio chair with his tool.
Brandon took his break, with an ice cream cone in hand, hanging out with Aunty Dar and Uncle Jim.
Then it was time to clown around…
As the evening got later, Owen and Brandon found some books and found people happy to sit and read to them.
As we headed home, Grandpa K let Owen and Brandon sit on his motorcycle and even start it – it was so loud but so cool!
It was a great dinner and we look forward to many more dinners together.
