Birthdays are so much more fun with kids! Owen and Brandon make opening cards and eating cake and singing a whole new experience. They got quite a few days of singing to their Mom…with Uncle Derek, Aunty Colette, Zoe and Grandma and Grandpa H, with Grandma K, Aunty Claudette, Uncle Phil and GG and then again with Daddy, Mommy and Brandon. And of course after the singing of Happy Birthday waiting for the cake to be sliced takes FOREVER, thus Owen and Brandon get creative.
As part of my birthday present I had a couple evenings out, one evening to shop for myself in peace and quiet with no time restriction – ahh what bliss! And then another evening out with my good friend Carrie for dinner at Earls and their outstanding hamburger and then not any movie, but Eclipse, the third in the Twilight series. While I had my evenings out, Grandma K and Aunty Claudette had their evenings at home with Owen and Brandon. Aunty brought out the play-dough and was a hit; they made all kinds of pasta and many many meatballs…in Owen and Brandon’s books, this is the only meal!
