Happy (belated) Family Day everyone!
I usually like to take the boys to something for family day, we’ve done Telus World of Science and the Royal Alberta Museum in the past. This year though I wasn’t feeling any of the events but I think our day ended up being pretty cool. We started the day over at Aunty Claudette’s house – Owen and Brandon had their second sleepover Sunday night. The boys didn’t want to leave and asked if they could sleep at Aunty’s house every night plus Owen told Aunty this was the best weekend ever — because he was spending it with her! Aunty has gotta feel good about that!
We went to the Osh Kosh shore for some new pants for Owen – he wore holes in two pairs of pants this week, plus I think he’s grown a bit as his pants seem a little short. The spring stuff was out and Owen and Brandon found a pair of pj’s and a track suit they both LOVED, please Mommy can we get this! Of course Sean and I caved and they even tried them on in the dressing room and then strutted their stuff for us! After that, we headed to Pro Hockey Life for hockey sticks — real ones, not the plastic ones they have at home. They were so excited, when we walked in they shouted to each other, I love hockey! They loved looking at all the hockey stuff and surprisingly we found wooden hockey sticks just their size and for a good price — they asked if they could use their Valentines Day money from Grandma and Grandpa H for the sticks. They were only a little short. After all that, we did McDonald’s with a BIG play land for lunch (something I think every other parent decided to do too).
After an afternoon nap (yes we are extremely fortunate to still have our boys nap), Grandma and Grandpa H came for dinner. Owen and Brandon were pretty lucky to see so much family on this special day.
