Brothers

At 3 yrs and 2 yrs Owen and Brandon have become very close and are always looking for each other to play together, read together, do anything together.

Reading has become very big in our home recently (I know I’ve mentioned it in previous posts) and both Sean and I are very excited about it….probably me more than Sean.  Owen and Brandon love story time before bed and nap times, they love to have anyone read books to them and now like to read to us.  I have always loved to read and it makes me so happy when I can read to my boys.  I will admit, in Owen and Brandon’s first years, neither of them showed much interest in sitting long enough to read a book.  They liked to stand on them, sit on them and destroy them but didn’t like reading them.  I am so happy to see them come around! ha ha

Owen and Brandon love riding horses and pretending to be cowboy’s.  Of course, Dad, Mom, Grandpa H and Aunty Claudette’s backs are more fun for horse back rides; the horse on springs is much more fun for everyone.  Owen and Brandon have spent many mornings and evenings racing on their horse in the basement.  They recently found cowboy hats that they now NEED to wear when they ride their horse.  Surprisingly the boys share their horse riding time very well.  They cheer each other on and pick up each other’s hat when it falls off.  It is amazing how fast they get going on that horse!

Owen and Brandon are truly boys and truly brothers — they jump on each other, sit on each other and squeeze each other, all the while laughing and giggling together.
