It it’s big, makes noise and moves, Owen and Brandon will like it. Trains, cars, trucks, bulldozers…you name it, they will probably think it is the coolest thing around. Thomas the Train is a big hit in our house and last year we found out that Thomas comes to Heritage Park in Calgary each spring. Last year was a lot of fun, but we thought Brandon would really enjoy it more this year.
While the sun was out and warm for our zoo visit, the weather wasn’t quite as nice on our Day Out with Thomas. It was sunny but there was wind and it was cold, as you can tell from the picture.
But as soon as we boarded the train, all was forgotten and the ride around Heritage Park with Thomas pulling us was thrilling.
After the train ride, we made our way to one of the many tents set up with everything Thomas. The tent that attracted the most fun was the one with all the train tables set up for the children to play and enjoy. Owen was right in there but the tattoo line up caught Brandon’s eye; Mom and Brandon stood in line and waited patiently for our turn.
After that, there was popcorn, so of course we had to take a break!
Due to the weather the trip this year was a little shorter than last year but I am pretty sure Owen and Brandon very much enjoyed everything there is to see. We would very much like to come back to Heritage Park and see everything else in the park.
