A few weeks ago, when the weather was warm and sunny, we spend the afternoon at Emily Murphy Park. We had a picnic / bbq, and Owen and Brandon got to run rampant and be boys. They each had a small soccer ball and spent hours kicking the balls and chasing them, all the while laughing together. They loved the huge green space to run and fall and get right back up — the grass is much softer to fall on than concrete.
We found a small playground a little off the beaten path and the boys enjoyed swinging and the slide.
There was ice cream for dessert, Owen loved it and so patiently ate the whole fudgesicle, while Brandon was more interested in the bubble maker. Don’t you just love their hats? They love their Thomas the Train conductor hats! These hats are pretty original so I also love them because it is easy to spot Owen and Brandon in a crowd of kids!
The picnic was a hit and this will definetly be something we do again with Owen and Brandon. Maybe next time we can get some of Owen and Brandon’s friends out join us!
