Time sure does fly. Since Owen and Brandon have started day care, they have come home with their share of colds that they have passed on to Mom and Dad. And when Mom and Dad are sick, the website suffers! Here I am trying to play catch up.
At the end of July we took the boys to Capital Ex. Last year Aunty Claudette and I took Owen and Brandon, Owen loved it and Brandon was still quite young and spent most of his time sleeping. This year Daddy and Grandma and Grandpa H came as well with Aunty Claudette and I. We first took in Shrek at the Telus Stage – Owen and Brandon were pretty amazed to see Shrek and Fiona but were also disappointed to not see Donkey or Puss In Boots. The military were there and Owen and Brandon enjoyed sitting in a real airplane! We visited the pony rides, where Owen rode all on his own and Brandon held onto Daddy as he was a little unsure about this moving horse.
We went through the Farm House again this year, with Brandon joining in too! Owen and Brandon looked too cute with their little aprons, feeding the animals and riding the tractors.
After all that we did some rides. Owen and Brandon very much enjoyed the rides. They went on almost all the ones they could….the roller-coaster, car and helicopter, dizzy dinosaurs, Ferris wheel and a mirror house.
They went all day and did amazingly well with skipping their naps. We were there when the mid-way opened and left just as the evening crowd was arriving. The traffic was awful and by the time we got home it was bath-time and bed-time…which worked out perfectly. The weather was great, overcast with a little rain. It sure beats the +30 day we had last year!
